Management Surveys

The purpose of an asbestos management survey is to help the workplace PCBU to systematically identify and manage all asbestos in their workplace. The survey provides sufficient information for the workplace PCBU to indicate the presence and location of asbestos or ACM, carry out a suitable risk assessment, and develop an asbestos management plan.

Refurb/Demolition Surveys

The purpose of asbestos refurbishment / demolition surveys is to help homeowners or PCBUs locate all the asbestos (or the relevant part) before demolition or refurbishment work commences. It is a disruptive and fully intrusive survey which may need to penetrate parts of the building structure. Aggressive inspection techniques are used to lift carpets and tiles, break through walls, ceilings, cladding and partitions, and open up floors.

Asbestos Management Plans (AMP's)

Firstly, you need to establish whether or not your building has ACM's (asbestos containing materials) present. This will require an asbestos survey. If your survey has confirmed the presence of ACMs within your pre-2000 built property, you’ll need to complete an asbestos management plan to comply with the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016. Completing an asbestos management plan isn’t just a one off event; it’s something you’ll need to manage, monitor and maintain whilst ACM's remain present within your building. This is something that Asbestos Audits Ltd can assist you with.

Clearance Inspections

The removal of asbestos (Class A or Class B) notified work requires that the relevant clearance inspection follow. Our experienced Licensed Asbestos Assessors can provide clearances on both Class A & B removals. Essentially this is a detailed assessment to ensure that all asbestos containing material has been removed and that the area has been thoroughly cleaned prior to it being fit for reoccupation. Only when the required standard has been met are we able to issue a Certificate of Reoccupation giving you the peace of mind that the hazard no longer remains.

Pre-Purchase Asbestos Survey

Pre-purchase building reports are not suitable to determine whether or not the property contains asbestos. A member of our team can visit a property and advise of potential asbestos containing materials before you purchase the property, assisting you with asbestos related due-diligence.
